For Piper Aztec Pilots:
- Commercial AMEL & 2nd Class medical required
- Flight time minimums are:
- 400 Hrs Total Time
- 30 Hrs ME time (15 hrs Minimum PIC ME time)
- High Performance Endorsement
- Complex Endorsement
For C182 Pilots:
- Commercial ASEL & 2nd Class medical required
- Flight time minimums are:
- 325 Hrs Total Time
- 5 Hrs PIC C182 time
- High Performance Endorsement
** ALL Finalists must successfully complete a “flight confirmation/interview” at KGXY. This is held the first 2 days of training. **

About the job -- generally
Pilots for ProStar are dispatched across the continental United States (primarily west of the Mississippi river). Pilots can expect overland survey flights, over mountains, and in Class B and Restricted airspace. Typical daily flight time when capturing is 6-10 hours with an average of 300 hours in a season.
This is a Seasonal position – mid-October/November to mid/late June, with capture generally starting Nov or Dec 1. Required training in October at our home location in Greeley, Colorado.
This is a traveling position as you go where the capture is located. Pilots are on a 20 day on / 10 day off rotation.
