Dusty brings an exceptionally diverse and multidisciplinary background to her role as Co-Founder, President, and CEO of ProStar Flight Services. With expertise spanning engineering, law, aviation, and business leadership, Dusty's unique perspective shapes ProStar's vision of building and enhancing an aviation community through exceptional flight services and the development of emerging aviators.
A Colorado native, Dusty earned her Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics with a minor in Geophysics from the Colorado School of Mines, followed by a Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law. She is a licensed attorney in good standing with the Colorado State Bar and holds commercial and instrument ratings as a helicopter pilot. Her technical credentials also include certification as an ASNT Level I Thermographer, reflecting her commitment to precision and technical excellence.
Dusty's career has encompassed roles as a geophysicist with Texaco, Assistant Director of Admissions at the Colorado School of Mines, General Counsel for a large property management firm, and Director of Aviation Programs at Aims Community College, where she led multiple degree programs and flight centers. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to found and operate both Zenobia Helicopters, LLC and ProStar Infrared Inspections, LLC, gaining invaluable experience in aviation business operations.
Since 2011, Dusty has served as co-owner and Director of Development at Hangar 1, Inc., where she transformed antiquated systems into efficient digital workflows, built human resources infrastructure, and established the organizational foundation for sustained growth. This experience in creating high-performing aviation operations directly informs her leadership at ProStar Flight Services.
At ProStar, Dusty oversees business operations with a focus on building capable teams and maintaining operational excellence. Her leadership approach emphasizes clear communication, accountability, and creating an environment where pilots can develop their skills through challenging flight operations. ProStar's commitment to integrity and quality service reflects the standards she established throughout her career.

As a certified A&P Mechanic with more than nine years at Hangar 1, Inc., Nathan has developed extensive hands-on expertise with both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft, including Beechcraft, Cessna, Piper, American Champion, Mooney, Cirrus, Air Tractor, Thrush, Experimental, and Sikorsky aircraft.
His aviation credentials are further strengthened by his ongoing service as a UH-60 Crew Chief with the Colorado National Guard, where he has accumulated over 1,000 flight hours since 2013. This unique combination of mechanical expertise and operational flight experience gives Nathan a comprehensive understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance requirements, and mission-critical operations.
Nathan's strong organizational skills and experience in system development make him ideally suited to oversee operational efficiency and team coordination. Known for his leadership capabilities and dependable work ethic, he brings a methodical approach to ensuring ProStar maintains the highest standards of safety, service, and operational excellence.

Sam brings a rare combination of hands-on expertise, business acumen, and unwavering commitment to aviation safety to ProStar. With over two decades of experience in general aviation, Sam has built his career on a foundation of comprehensive knowledge across every aspect of aircraft maintenance and operations.
Sam's aviation journey began in 2001, as a flight student at Aims Community College. Sam holds an AAS degree in Air Traffic Control, and is a fixed-wing private pilot with over 800 hrs of real world flight time. His diverse experience spans multiple facets of general aviation, from working as an FBO line technician to completing a mechanic's apprenticeship and becoming a certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic. He has held his Inspection Authorization (IA) since 2011, qualifying him to perform and approve major repairs and annual inspections.
In 2011, Sam and his wife, Dusty, acquired Hangar 1, Inc., where he has spent nearly two decades building a reputation for thorough, uncompromising aircraft maintenance services. Known for his exceptional ability to understand complex aircraft systems and explain them in clear, accessible terms, Sam is often described as having a mechanical intuition that sets him apart in the industry.
As Co-Founder of ProStar, Sam serves as Maintenance Advisor, bringing his philosophy of never compromising on safety or quality. His approach is straightforward: if he wouldn't put his own family in an aircraft, the job isn't complete. This dedication to doing things right makes Sam an invaluable resource for ensuring ProStar maintains the highest standards of aircraft safety and airworthiness.

Jared brings a unique combination of military discipline, technical expertise, and specialized flying skills to his role as ProStar's Lead Pilot. A former U.S. Army Special Forces Weapons Sergeant with over seven years of service, Jared understands the importance of precision, adaptability, and mission-focused operations in challenging environments.
As a commercial pilot, Jared specializes in tailwheel and backcountry flying, with extensive experience operating in some of Alaska's most demanding terrain. Since 2019, he has served as Chief Pilot at Wrangell Mountain Air, conducting line and backcountry operations within Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and throughout south-central Alaska. This experience has honed his skills in mountain flying, high-density altitude operations, and complex decision-making in remote environments.
Jared holds his Certified Flight Instructor certificates (CFI/CFII/MEI) and is also a certified Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic, giving him comprehensive knowledge of both flight operations and aircraft systems. His additional qualifications as a Survival Instructor and Wilderness First Responder further demonstrate his commitment to safety and preparedness in all aspects of aviation operations.
Jared earned his Associate of Science in Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics from Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology and his Associate of Science in Aeronautics from Aims Community College. At ProStar, Jared's leadership, technical proficiency, and extensive experience in demanding flight operations make him an invaluable asset to the team and a mentor to developing pilots.

Matthew brings a unique blend of engineering expertise and hands-on aviation operations experience to his role as ProStar's Emergency Response Relief Pilot. A graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Matthew earned his Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, providing him with a deep technical understanding of aircraft systems and aerodynamics that enhances his piloting capabilities.
Matthew holds his Commercial Pilot certificate for both single and multi-engine aircraft and is type-rated in the Beechcraft King Air 300 series. Currently, he serves as Second in Command on King Air 350 aircraft with Precision Aircraft Management while also flying aerial survey missions for ProStar Flight Services. His diverse experience in Part 135 charter operations has honed his skills in complex aircraft systems, professional flight operations, and adaptability in dynamic flight environments.
Before transitioning to the flight deck, Matthew spent nearly five years with Wheels Up, working as both a Core Return Specialist and Line Service Technician. This extensive ground operations experience gave him invaluable insight into the behind-the-scenes aspects of aviation, including aircraft servicing, maintenance coordination, and the critical support systems that enable safe flight operations. This well-rounded perspective makes him particularly effective in understanding the complete aviation operation.
Currently working toward his Airline Transport Pilot certificate, Matthew is committed to continuous professional development and building a career grounded in both technical knowledge and operational excellence. At ProStar, his engineering background, multi-engine proficiency, and comprehensive understanding of aviation operations make him a valuable asset to the team.
